A few days ago we cancelled Marleigh's first birthday party due to this crazy vomiting/diarrhea illness in our house. Marleigh improved, Kaiya got worse. We wound up in the ER about 3pm on Saturday. Our poor baby was severly dehydrated. Kaiya's C02 level was at 13, when it should have been between 18-22. Kaiya was admitted to the hospital for 24 hours. Over the course of those 24 hours my child endured an IV(which she tried to pull out with her teeth, lol), a blood draw, a special bag attached to her vagina to catch urine (totally ridiculous), no sleep, and lots of jello :)!
We did manage to get a small birthday celebration in for Marleigh before we headed to the ER.
All in all, a very eventful weekend. We are sure glad it is over! Lets hope next year over April 4th we are not in the hospital for a 3rd year in a row!
